Memorial to the National Founding Father
Taipei Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall is located in the fourth section of Renai Road, Taipei, Taiwan Province, It was built to commemorate the centenary of the birth of Dr. Sun Yat-sen. As the forerunner of China's democratic revolution and the founder of the Republic of China, Dr. Sun Yat-sen is an outstanding figure in China's modern history. The memorial covers an area of 35000 tsubo and is a palace-style building. The memorial is surrounded by Zhongshan Park, with Zigzag Bridge, ponds, rockeries, willows and other scenery embellishment. The four exhibition rooms in the memorial are beautifully decorated and designed to display the history of the founding of the Republic of China and modern works of art by famous artists. In addition, the performance hall , lighting and sound equipment of the memorial are of the first class, which often hosts high-quality conerts. The Taipei Zhongshan Memorial Hall has become a comprehensive venue for public outdoor activities, leisure activities and artistic and cultural performances.
